General Information

What is Advocat AI?

Advocat AI is a legal document creation, negotiation, tracking, and management platform. It functions as your own in-house AI legal team by generating documents, organizing your legal function and routing to internal or external team members for help and approvals when needed.

Who uses Advocat AI and what do they use it to do?

For startups, small companies and mid-market companies:

Advocat AI helps founders, owners, contract managers and finance managers get the legal documents that they need to operate on a day-to-day basis, get straightforward explanations of legal documents that others send them, have an organized negotiation with another party, collect e-signatures, and keep track of the contents.

For large enterprises:

Advocat AI helps sales teams, procurement teams, other business teams, and legal teams in large enterprises use their existing contract data to generate contracts, route approvals, negotiate, keep track of contract performance, and more. Large enterprises usually request  custom integrations and setup to use Advocat seamlessly within their own legal and business workflow. They most frequently tailor contract creation using their own legal guardrails derived from past documents or directed by guidelines created by in-house Legal, use the negotiation platform to guide business users to stay within tolerances set by in-house Legal, and use Legal smart search to ask any contextual question about documents such as “What do we have that is affected by the new regulation change?” Large enterprises also request custom dashboards using any data found within the body of their legal documents including Sales totals, list and percentage of documents that are negotiated outliers, commonly conceded clauses, etc.

You can use Advocat to create business contracts and documents that a company needs to operate such as sales contracts, purchasing agreements, employment agreements, Terms and Conditions, Data Protection Addenda, Cease and Desist letters, handbooks, and more. Advocat is not a litigation (lawsuit) platform for creating legal pleadings to be filed in court.

You can use Advocat to negotiate any legal or business matter that uses documents and agreements in the negotiation.

You can ask questions and get organized answers about any type of document that is used in the normal course of business.

How does Advocat AI work? What AI models do you use?

Advocat’s system uses a combination of a knowledge graph individually generated for each company as an ‘accuracy layer’ to use in RAG, interaction with LLMs and automation to deliver a world class experience.  After Advocat AI retrieves data from a legal knowledge graph, it accesses our numerous AI agents to complete relevant tasks and subtasks. The system dynamically selects which LLM is right for the subtask among the LLMs we use including: Microsoft Azure GPT 4o, GPT 4 Turbo, Google Gemini, Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Sonnet.

Security and Privacy

Do you train your AI on my data? Does Open AI train on my data?

No!  Your legal data is private.  We not use ChatGPT in Advocat AI.  Instead, we use our own proprietary system and the Open AI API Platform.   Unlike ChatGPT, the Open AI API Platform does not train on any data that sent through it.  Learn more about how Open AI handles enterprise privacy at Enterprise privacy (openai.com) and Data processing addendum (openai.com) .

Please don't. While Advocat can help you save a lot of time and money on legal costs, AI does not replace the empathy and professional judgement of attorneys. In fact, Advocat has a 'Share' button to make it easier to loop in your attorney whenever you need to.
